    Snow Ruler

    Review by Burt

I have a 12 inch ruler that I've used for snow measurement for years. When I first saw this I thought what do I need a 36" ruler for? We rarely get any snow over a foot where I live. I needed a new scale and threw this in to get free shipping, and because I was wavering on the purchase. Very glad I did. First, the gold on black colors on the ruler provides a great contrast in snow and makes it easy to read. Second, it is easier to read as I don't have to crouch down very low to the ground to get a reading, especially compared to a shorter ruler with small graduations. Snowpack readings are quick and easy. I hung mine outside so it stays cold - that way it does not melt a bit of snow that sticks to the ruler when measuring. It's not cheap, but you wont regret the purchase if you regularly measure snow.
